We also offer an in house brokering service along with our other financial services. The brokering services particularly involve sourcing protection products or insurance such as income protection, life assurance, and critical illness covers among a few others. Furthermore, we offer a brokering service with a variety of mortgages ranging from residential, commercial, buy-to- lets and even the growing popular equity release most notably lifetime mortgages
At SL5 Mortgages, we are whole of market rather than beholden to a single provider which differentiates us from typical providers. This means we can offer mortgages from all existing lenders which ensures the lowest rates and fees for you. The mortgage service or advice we offer is completely free of charge given we are paid a procuration fee from the lender therefore there will be no added cost to you. We offer a streamlined process starting from us providing mortgage options which cater to your needs whether this is a 2,3 or 5 year fixed or tracker rate. Before submitting to a lender, we will perform all our due diligence to ensure you will meet their affordability and criteria ensuring there are no problems during the application.
When you are ready to proceed, we would run through the application form following which we will submit to the lender. Lenders will provide feedback to us such as the relevant documents required. After a few weeks this will eventually lead to an offer letter which is written proof the lender has granted the mortgageAny mortgage brokered will be properly monitored via our records to ensure we remortgage again at the right time keeping you on a low rate for the duration of the mortgage. With every purchase or remortgage, a solicitor does need to be involved. Occasionally the lenders will provide a free solicitor service or cashback as a benefit but if not, we can outsource this to one of our solicitor partners SAM conveyancing who offer very reasonable rates
